Plugins and Child Theme Updates

    Divi Ultimate Child Theme Divi Ultimate Header Plugin

    Hello,

    I love the plugins and child theme, looks very promising. My biggest concern are the updates. Do the plugins and child theme easily update like Wordpress Plugins do? So if I see one of your plugins of child theme needs to be updated I can simply select update and not have to reinstall anything for any of the plugins or child theme? I know this may seem like a dumb question but I recently purchased a plugin pack and found out that if I want to update the plugins I have to uninstall them and reinstall the updated versions.

    For all our products, we don't have automatic updates from Wordpress admin dashboard. You will need to uninstall them and reinstall the updated versions.

    That's disappointing to hear.

    Are there any plans to have the products update through the WordPress admin dashboard without having to uninstall and reinstall?

    Sorry to say that there's still no plan to do that yet for now.

    Currently, we are using forum to manage all our products, so it's not possible to have automatic updates from Wordpress dashboard. Though by using forum, we get to integrate the purchases with the support forum. Easy for members to access our support, as they gain immediately access to our support forum after purchase without any further configuration. And thus allow us to continue providing great support. Plus, you can also easily search for past support tickets by other members for any questions that you have.

    But the downside is we couldn't have the automatic updates from Wordpress dashboard. Though, for the updates, it's totally optional if Divi updates did not break your site. For most of the cases, Divi updates will not break our plugins & child theme. We created all our products using the safe coding way. For every updates in Divi 3.0, our products work just fine. Though for the major Divi 4.0 update, there are some conflicts due to the introduction of Theme Builder. We've fixed some issues with the menu module & everything is now working well with Divi 4.0.
