Solved DIVI update has broken my blog page!

    Hi guys,

I've just updated my DIVI theme to the latest version (4.4.1) and it has broken my blog page.

My homepage is a static page and I have my blog on a seperate page entitled "blog".

I had set my blog page to show excerpts of my posts, but after the update my blog page now shows the whole posts. Not only is this bad for SEO, it looks terrible.

I have gone into the settings to make sure that the blog is still set to "excerpts" and it is. And I have gone into the "read" settings to make sure my blog page is set to the correct page (it is).

I have also tried using safe mode to see if the issue is with my plugins (I'm not using many), or any of the custom CSS I've added, but the problem remains.

Can anyone offer me any advice?

    Thanks!

I would suggest you to rollback to previous version: WP Admin > Divi > Theme Options > Updates > Rollback to the previous version

If it works after rollback. then you should report the bug to official Divi support at: https://www.elegantthemes.com/members-area/help/

    Hi,

    Thanks for your help.

I contacted the support team yesterday, they advised me to try it in safe mode (which didn't work), then allow remote access so they can have a look. But I have never given anyone access to my website and don't feel comfortable with this.

PS, the rollback to the previous DIVI version didn't work either, so I had to go into my hosting and restore it from a recent backup.

The trouble is, having an outdated theme isn't good for security.

I'm surprised nobody else has reported this problem. It's not because of any of the plugins I have installed, or the custom CSS, because I've tested it in safemode - I'm at a loss :(

One thing to check this this option: WP Admin > Divi > Theme Options > General > Blog Style Mode

Thanks, I managed to fix the problem yesterday with the help of DIVI support team.

You're right, it was because of the above! When I disabled Blog Style mode, the problem was solved.
