My account was updated to the newest version...

    The person that built my website downloaded the Divi Ult child theme to my wordpress site, but somehow I have the latest version of Divi. How did I have access to the plugin without paying for support? I am just curious to know how my account got upgraded. I just purchased support today with my own account today.

    The website was built back in February of this year and I currently have version 8.0.1 of Divi Ultimate.

    Our product can be used on all your client sites. And so if you hired someone to built your site, he may install our child theme on your site & you can use it without purchasing on our side. Since you already purchased our products, you will now gain access to the downloads for our products & feel free to ask any questions related to our products in our support forum.

    As for our product updates, it requires manual installation: delete old plugin & install the latest one (which can be downloaded from our site).
    **Not quite sure what you meant by how my account got upgraded. Kindly elaborate more on that.
    That's the latest version for our Divi Ultimate Child Theme.

    I could have sworn I upgraded the Divi Ultimate plug in, but I guess I did not. So thanks for letting me know I have to delete the old and install the new.

    I do have an issue I need help with. See the following comments and screen shot and let me know if you can assist. The developer looked into this and came to the conclusion below.

    • The email optin module shows this error when the form is submitted, see image.
    • The issue is when I try to set up an email optin module and link it to mailchimp, it won't work.
    • The issue appears to be with the Divi Ultimate footer (DU - Footer) template.
    • The email optin form breaks when it is loaded from the footer template, but it works when added to the page directly.
    I do have the latest version of both the Divi Theme and the Divi Ult Child Theme. I wonder if I should delete the child theme and install it again?

    Upon searching on this issue, it seems like all suggested that the error doesn't affect your site in any way. The .map file is not part of your website. It's used to unminify your JS file in browser console. To hide the missing source map error, check this out: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/36051891/esri-failed-to-parse-source-map
    This is what I see:

    It seems like you're using a code module + MailChimp code for the optin form.

    If it doesn't work right, then you should just delete the code module & use Divi Email Optin Module instead & see if it works.

    You may edit the footer in WP Admin > Divi > DU - Footer
    **As to know which footer style you're using, look for it at: Theme Customizer > Divi Ultimate > Footer Styling

    Let me know how it goes.

    I am using the mailchimp embed code because the email optin module keeps failing. It does not work and its been tested many times. I sent my developer the details you provided and I will have them come back to chat with you to get this resolved. They will understand this much better than I do.

    The embedded codes works fine, but I wanted to use the email opt in module. I will reach out to elegant themes. Thanks.
