Changes to mobile style layout affects desktop and vice versa

I cannot get the responsive editing to work anymore. I have tried on multiple sites and whenever you go in and change say the sizing or spacing for font size for mobile (or anything else for that matter), it affects the desktop version as well. I have done this in the past but now it seems broken. I've tried on a multi-site install and a single install on completely different servers and have the same issue. If I am doing something wrong, I hope Divi re-thinks the UX here. Josh Hall has a nice tutorial here , but even following along on my own pages it does not work. I think his tut is over a year old, so as I mentioned, it has worked for me in the past as well, but not now.
