Trying to add H1 to homepage, can't confirm as it doesn't appear in source code

    Hi! I’m not sure how to add an H1 tag to my homepage. For info, the site I'm helping with uses Divi Child Theme on Wordpress.

    I’ve tried the ‘Appearance > Customize > General Options > Page Title > Heading Tag’ route but I don’t have anything past General Options (my version says General Settings.) After General Setting there’s something called site title and tagline, is tagline a place where i can insert h1 for the home page?

    I’ve read that some themes may automatically assign H1 to the page titles typed in the backend but when I inspect the page h1 info doesn't pop up. I’m unsure how to confirm if its there or not.

    A wordpress support employee said I should try to ask divi support, so I figured I would ask here too! Thanks

    I don't exactly understand what you want to achieve, but if you are using Divi builder, adding H1 tag is pretty straightforward.

    Thank you for screencasting! However, I was ask how to add an H1 tag on a (home) page not a post. Is there a way to do that? Sorry if I was confusing.

    For your homepage, you should be able to edit it in Divi Builder as well, as per the screencast.

    Unless you set your homepage to show the latest posts in WP Admin > Settings > Reading > Your homepage displays > Your latest posts.
    **For that case, you will need to use Divi Theme Builder to edit your homepage in Divi Builder.
