hide the WP version

    Hi, I've tried many scripts to hide the WP version but none seem to work.
    I would like to point out that I use a chrome extension called Wappalyzer on the fly and in these days of attending the forum I have seen that many of you manage to hide it by revealing a generic Worpress without the version.
    Could someone tell me what script they use successfully? I speak of course of WP site with DIVI installed and child theme.

    My question is: Why will you hide it? I know, many people tell you that you should do this. But when your Wordpress is always up-to-date (it's now easy with autoupdate), there is no 'secret hint' to hack your site cause it's an old version.

    Because there are cases, like those we have experienced in many in these days of transition to 5.6, where updating means having a site that does not work correctly. And in such a case I prefer to hide it.
