Solved Global library content deleted when adding library item to a page

I have created a Divi Library Global template that contains a simple row with a map. The idea is to add this to many pages in the site whilst being able to edit it once in the Divi Library and have that edit automatically update all the pages.
While adding the library item to pages using the [+] Add Row button it will sometimes, seemingly randomly, delete all the content in the original library item.
I then have to completely rebuild the original library layout item.
Can anyone explain what is causing this?

In the meantime I have copied the source code from the post_content via phpmyadmin and saved this as a text file on my PC. When Divi deletes the content from the post I can paste it back directly into the database. But this is nuts! and there's no way other admin users of the site will be able to do this.

 

Thank you for your speedy reply. We are running Wordfence. I will try your suggestions and post back here how it goes.

 

Setting Wordfence into LEARNING mode during editing solved this issue. Just make sure you remember to switch it back to ENABLED when you have finished editing your content.
