Solved Wordpress vs DIVI homepage

Currently, my homepage is a WordPress Blog post (Hello World). I have created a page using DIV builder that I want to be the homepage for the site. The online videos tell me to do one of the following (or both, its not clear):
1. Go to DIVI / Theme Customizer, then click on Homepage settings and select static page, and select the page in the drop-down menu.
2. In WordPress, go to Settings / Reading settings and click on static page option.

The problem is that My DIVI Theme Customizer does not have a Homepage Settings section, and my WordPress Reading Settings does not have a static page option.

This is totally frustrating. Does anyone know of a workaround?

 

I think I figured it out. The reason I was not seeing the static page option, is that I had the DIVI page saved as a draft. So, I went in and disabled the visibility of all of the sections that are still being built and then published the DIVI page. Then the static page option was enabled in the WordPress Reading settings. I was able to select the DIVI page as my new homepage and it worked. I hope this workaround is helpful to others dealing with the same issue.
