Solved Divi Section Background Image not displaying

I have created a background image in the top section of a website running WordPress and Divi that we took over. The Background image shows properly in the WordPess Divi Page builder when logged in. However, it will not display on the live domain. I can see the text overlay live, but not the background image. We have checked the opacity, fill, gradient and page settings. We have cleared out the server cache several times. Every other piece of content updated shows but the added background image. We copied site onto a test server and same result. What could be causing this?

Perhaps it's the http & https issue. Kindly share your URL.

I had a temp fix by showing an image within an image box inside a row and section. Image will not show as background image.
This is a site we took over from another agency. All other images work just fine.
Every time we modify the background image in the top section of any page, it appears for a while and then dissapears to white.
One thing we noticed is that if we add a blank section on top then the background image of the second section appears again.
Wondering what would cause the background image of the top section to not show online.
Show perfectly when logged into Wordpress Admin but will not appear on live sit. I can see text overlay working but not the background image.

Looks fine to me. Perhaps you already fixed it.

Yes, we fixed it this afternoon. One of our Dev team members figured out that it was the Static CSS setting in Divi. We toggled the setting and all images appeared.

I just had the same issue with the full-width header module. For some reason, it was adding the class _et_bg_layout_dark to the element. This class has "background-color: #fff !important;" in the CSS, which overrides any styling done to the background in the Visual Builder. Disabling the Static CSS setting as stated above does fix the issues, but you guys may want to dig a little deeper for a more absolute solution.

Hi, I am fairly new to divi as I've recently taken over the maintenance of a website built with divi by a developer. I'm having the same issue with one background image not showing. I'm only vaguely aware of the terms being used above - any chance you could spell it out a bit more for me how to rectify the issue? What exactly should I write in custom CSS?

The OP is referring to this option: WP Admin > Divi > Theme Options > Builder > Advanced > Static CSS File Generation > Disabled

I have the same issue, hero section background not displaying, if I add a section before it the background will show, only in frontend, on visual builder the image is showing correctly.

I have disable static css and dynamic css options with no luck

For that case, try to go to the Section Settings > Advanced > Custom CSS > Free-Form CSS & add:
    Code:
Log In or Sign Up to view this code.

I'm facing the same issue - the background image in the header section is showing inside the editor but not on the live page. Tried all the above solutions - none of them worked. Also applied the CSS code you shared here - still no effect :(

Yup. Would need to view the issue to troubleshoot it further. But if you're ok with the parallax fix, then you can just ignore it.
