First of all, Divi Ultimate is a child theme for Divi theme. You will need to separately purchase & install Divi theme first, in order to use our child theme: https://www.elegantthemes.com/gallery/divi/

We did not alter the way to create blog articles. As normal, you get to post your blog articles using the Default editor / Gutenberg editor / Divi Builder.

Default editor / Gutenberg editor are more user friendly & straightforward. But the default design on Divi blog post page is pretty plain & limited. So in our child theme, we added a new featured called Single Blog Post Customizer to style all your blog posts globally. It allows you to have beautiful blog post page, while using the default editor. See video below.

If you're using our Single Blog Post Customizer, then all your blog posts will have the same styles. The blog design is applied globally. Though, the content design is based on how you built it in the default editor.

Not quite sure what you meant by customizable layout on anywhere around the website. As Divi itself allows you to build your page in any way you want it, using the Divi Builder.
