Solved DIVI CONTACT FORM MISSING EMAIL FIELD

    I’m using the Divi theme contact form, but I’m having an issue that I’m getting the email response fine to the assigned email but only the name and message field but not the most important the email field. I would appreciate if someone can point me in the right direction on what I could be doing wrong?

    I was helping someone with this very issue, where the "email" field disappears on form submission, when "use default" is defined as the message template. Our fix: The field ID was "email", which seems to be protected -- changing it to "email_address" solved the issue for us.

    Pretty lame, but there you go.

    Hello, thanks for this, I have solved the issue too.

    Do you know if there is any way I can retrieve the submitted entries? I would like to be able to reply these comments but without email it is hard!

    I don't think Divi saved the submitted entries in your database. So, you won't get to retrieve the past entries.

    You Can also use the pattern suggested by Divi like for example placing email field like %%Email%%.

    Hi, I love divi but had this issue and have hundreds of emails with no email address to reply to. Any ideas on how I would be able to see these email addresses?

    Did you ever find out how to retrieve any of the emails? I have a client who just got a contact form submission, but when she tried to reply to the person it was only her own email address. We can't find the sender's email address anywhere. This is the main reason for having a contact form, so I'm super bummed that Divi's form just doesn't work.

    Hi, I have the same problem; the contact form is sending but the email field is missing. When I select 'Field Options' I have a selection of 6 fields (which include; Input Field / Email Field / Textarea / Checkboxes / Radio Buttons / Select Dropdown) but no option to create a custom field and changing it to "email_address" I had 'Email Field' set as a Required Field.
    Can anyone please help? Many thanks

    You're supposed to change the Field ID from 'email' to 'email_address'.

    Thnx, we had the same problem. Next to "email" also for "name" and "message".
    Strange, 2.5 yrs later this bug is still not fixed

    Of course this should be tested with only the Divi Template installed and no 3rd party plugins before blaming Divi
