    Hi there,

Basically whenever I go to edit a full width slider the top of the edit box appears totally blank. I'll scroll down a little and find the bottom of the screen, but the first 40% is completely cut off. I've added some images. Screenshot_25.jpg Screenshot_26.jpg

The section is no longer blank, it is showing everything you would expect. But nothing is clickable. When I hover over the unusable section it gives me a "Select Color" box regardless of where I place the mouse. It's like there is an invisible object on top of the edit box obstructing me from making any changes.

Try to update Divi to the latest version & clear your browser cache & see if it works. Highly possibly that this is a bug in previous version.

    Thanks for your reply.

I would have updated Divi earlier, however the developer who built the site is unwilling to either hand over the credentials or log in themselves to get the update. I’d like to purchase Divi myself. Am I likely to run into any problems migrating from one a Divi license to another?

Divi license only allows you to download updates + import the premade ET layouts. The license doesn't impact any other stuffs.

It's just that the Divi updates might affect some parts of your site.

  8. Hi there, I have the same issue with the fullwidth slider. And it will probably be solved by updating the Divi theme indeed. Here is my problem: we are running a customized Divi theme 2.7.3 with Wordpress version 5.1.1. The customization was done by an external company (that no longer exists), and I know little to nothing about websites/wordpress (just enough to make pages/posts, backups), but I do need to change the content of the fullwidth slider, which is impossible now. My questions: if I update the divi theme (can I or do I need some divi download password that I don't have? it seems divi is not for free?) to get the builder updated: will I loose the customization of the theme? Can I install the divi builder plugin separately without running into trouble with the old Divi theme (+integrated builder)?

You will need to purchase Divi from ElegantThemes: https://www.elegantthemes.com/
I can't say for sure, but upgrading from v2.7.3 to current v3.22.3 mostly will break some part of your site. It's best for you to refer ElegantThemes about it: https://www.elegantthemes.com/contact/
As for this, if you're using Divi theme, I doubt that you can use Divi Builder plugin in it. Divi Builder plugin is meant to be used on Wordpress site that doesn't use Divi theme. Again, it's best to refer ElegantThemes about it to get a more accurate response.
