Solved Can't add youtube video using Divi Builder

    Each time I try to add a video in DIVI BUILDER using a Youtube embed code all I get is the word FALSE appearing where the video should be.

    I can add videos using the CODE module but this does not allow all the nice features within the VIDEO MODULE.

    I've scanned the web for hours but no solutions. Any ideas?

    Check & see your youtube URL has only such format: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3jXN8CBz0TU

    Remove any additional ?query

    I've tried using that type of URL and others but keep getting the same result.
    The video appears in the Video Module Settings box but on the webpage itself it just says 'false'

    Try to update Divi & Wordpress to the latest version & clear your cache & see if it fixes your issue.

    Did anyone solved this bug yet?
    Its Feb.21 I'm on WP 5.3.2 with Divi 4.3.2 (latest) and also have this bug on few sites with different versions of WP/Divi as well.

    ET support says no ETA for a fix :(
    Very frustrating as it hurts our SEO and ranking

    Have you guys tried using Code setting and paste your embed youtube video under
    For Example: <iframe width="560" height="315" src=" EMBED VIDEO LINK" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

    For me when im using Video module I have videos downloaded and saved as MP4 and just upload it. It worked just fine

    Hi, Yes I did solve it!

    The problem is not with DIVI or yourself it is more then likely the server your wordpress is on.

    Get in touch with your web hosting company and ask them if oEmbed is enabled or disabled. It may be disabled and they don't know about it. My hosting company discovered that a server house they were using was blocked by google and hence would not work. They did something behind the scenes and hey presto! it works fine.

    Don't let your hosting company palm you off or tell you that you can add a video using the code method. One of the reasons you are using DIVI is so you don't have to do that.

    Thanks, but this might be a patch but is not a fix
    It makes no sense to go over and manually change many videos not to mention loosing the options of Divi's video module.

    Problem SOLVED !
    It is a known issue of our hosting provider:
    "the issue is caused by the fact that Google is blocking a /64 pool which our data center provider is using."

    The fix is adding the following to functions.php (I added it to the child theme and it works) :

    add_action( 'http_api_curl', function( $curl_handle ) {
    curl_setopt( $curl_handle, CURLOPT_IPRESOLVE, CURL_IPRESOLVE_V4 );
    });
