    Divi Ultimate Header Plugin

    Hello!

I just bought the DIVI Ultimate Header Plugin but as I'm testing it out for use on a project, I'm finding that as I'm clicking into the modules to update the pre-setup layouts, a new tab keeps opening in my browser with a different layout and setup. If I close it out and go back to the tab I was currently using and click on something again, it it will, again, open a new tab. Any idea about this issue? Console log is not throwing an error. I disabled all my other plugins and it is still happening .

Not quite sure what you are referring to. Kindly share screenshot on where you click.
Also share a screenshot on this as well.

The first image shows where I'm clicking. The second one shows you what happens when the new tab opens while I'm editing. It looks like it updates the header and I lose the layout. I've tested this on another site and, out of the box, I can't seem to use the plugin there either as I can't even save the layout select in the settings; I get an error. Do you need to use the Classic Divi Builder or does it not matter? Is there a PHP requirement that could cause this issue?

It should work on both new / old backend builder & visual builder as well. For our plugin, we did not alter Divi builder in any way, so it’s unlikely that the issue is coming from our plugin.

To confirm, can you try to disable our plugin & go to edit the layout in Divi Library & see if the issue still persist?

If still persist, then try to edit other Divi Library items & see if it’s the same.

If after disabling our plugin & it’s still persist, then it’s a Divi issue. If that’s the case, it’s best for you to refer official Divi support about this: https://www.elegantthemes.com/members-area/help/

But before that, you can try to update both Divi & WordPress to the latest version & clear your cache & and see if it works.

Also you can try to fulfill the Divi requirements that shown in WP Admin > Divi > Support Center.

This is happening to me. It's not the plugin, it's the header layouts themselves. If I open another item from the library, I don't have the issue, but any time I open one of the headers and try to edit any module, a new window opens for the same library post, all content is deleted and the post is updated erasing all content immediately. I just purchased this plugin and need a fix right away as I'm working on two urgent projects.

If you're using Wordfence plugin, check this out: https://divi.help/threads/cant-edit-custom-menu.4315/#post-14477

But if you're not using Wordfence plugin, check this out: https://divi.help/threads/cant-edit-header-in-divi-du-header-library.4252/#post-14269
**Most probably your issue is the second one.

Please note -- While I am using Wordfence, since I've already edit library items the action is already whitelisted. When attempting to edit one of your header layouts and clicking to edit on the Front End, I get a white screen until I go back and delete your code block to hide the header, etc. Can't you add the inline CSS in another way? I have to remove that module from all of your templates before I can use this plugin.

PS: I've attempted the workaround by deleting the "Hide Header" code block from each of the layouts. This workaround does not work for Styles 6, 9, 11 or 12. After deleting the "Hide Header" code block, the same error occurs and wipes out the layout. I assume this is because there is more than one code block in these layouts. Is it possible to get a .json of these layouts without the code blocks? If you can share with the code is and why it's needed perhaps I can apply it in another way if I want to use one of these layouts.

Since you're using Wordfence, have you tried the below:
Anyway, attached is the .json file without the code block.

Basically, the "Hide Header" code block only contain custom CSS to hide the default header & footer when you're editing the custom header in Visual Builder. This is to prevent you from seeing double header (default header + custom header) in Visual Builder. In short, it's just used to improve your editing experience in Visual Builder. So, it's fine for you to remove it.

And the reason we put it in code module, is so that it will only affect those custom header styles in Divi Library, not all items in Divi Library. Usually, it's fine to have inline CSS styles, but it might be blocked by the Wordfence or server firewall.

    ==========

For style 9, it has some other custom CSS in a code module. If you need the style 9 custom CSS, you can place the below CSS in Divi > Theme Options > Custom CSS:
    Code:
Log In or Sign Up to view this code.
As for style 11 & 12, it has the below CSS:
    Code:
Log In or Sign Up to view this code.
