Use Button in Slider to Change Hover rather than "Hover"

I have created a slider with an image and a text box. I would like to use the "button" option within the slider to changet the text in the text box rather than just a link. I find the hover option super clunky on a mobile device and it either jumps to the next slide or just doesn't work. I'd rather use the "text change" option of Hover but through the use of the "Button". Any help with how I might go about creating that would be great. I'm thinking I could just add Custom CSS code to the "Slide Button" and "Main Element". However, I'm not very good with CSS and not familiar with adding custom CSS code to Divi so any direction would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Maybe you need to rethink your approach. Do you need multiple slides or just text change?
If you just need text to change you just make 2 slides with different text and the same image and it will look like the only change is text.

And as far the changing of the text, you will need probably need a little bit of JavaScript, not just CSS.

But please explain more, because your explanation is vague. Provide some examples, screenshots etc.

    Thanks for your reply.

I have attached pictures of what I'm trying to do. I need visitors to click through the different beers in the slider and then click between "Beer Geek" and "Bar Stool Poet" while on a particular slide. I'm not sure if that is enough information. Any direction would be awesome! Thanks!

I just don't understand, do you want two buttons on one slider, and clicking each of them will show different text in the same area?
