Solved Hide/Open Divi mobile menu submenu items

Hi!

I am using the code snippets from https://www.mzcreativestudio.com/collapses-show-mobile-menu-divi-theme/
on my website https://guideagainstaitracking.com/.

This makes it possible to hide submenu items and show them when the icon is clicked.
I need to be able to hide and show the submenu items when the parent item is clicked.

Any ideas? I do not know how to use jQuery so I am not sure what I am missing.

 

This gave the same issue, the parent element just closes the menu.

A closer look showed that when top tier menus without links or with '#' as link URL value is on the menu, an error is logged to console

Uncaught TypeError: this.pathname is undefined.

I removed all plugins, this error remained.
I removed the custom scripts and this error remained.
I added a top tier menu item with a '#' as url value and no submenus, clicking it caused same error.

This error occurs only on mobile not desktop.

Not sure what the error here points to.

 

UPDATE:
I reached out to Elegant themes and they recommended updating.
I did that and now it's just the icon that opens the menu, not the parent element follwoing suggested: https://www.peeayecreative.com/how-to-collapse-divi-mobile-menu-submenus/
