Solved Blurry thumbnails using Divi Gallery module (grid layout)

    Hi,

    I'm building a real estate photography website. I need a gallery/portfolio to showcase my photography.

    Somehow, when using the Divi gallery module with the grid layout, the thumbnails are slightly blurry/pixelated. When clicking on one of them, it opens the lightbox and then the image is sharp. When using the slider layout, the problem isn't there.

    How can I fix this? I can't have blurry thumbnails for a photography portfolio. This is especially worse on mobile.

    Here is a test page with a gallery module using the slider layout on top and the gallery module using the grid layout below (you can see the 4 images are blurry as thumbnails).

    I've tried changing the thumbnail and medium image sizes in the media settings but it didn't work. I'm using the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin and the Advance Speed Increaser plugin.

    SOLUTION HERE!

    This is was from Divi's support team:

    You can use the full image size on your Gallery thumbnail images by preventing the images from being cropped. You can follow this tutorial for that: https://intercom.help/elegantthemes/en/articles/2415397-gallery-images-are-being-cropped
    Next, we can use custom CSS to correctly size the thumbnails. Please check out this guide: How To Change the Divi Gallery Image Aspect Ratio – Make Images Square or Any Size

    I ended up using 1200 x 800 and it just works perfectly for me :)
