    I have just started using Divi, which is lovely! Iattempted to get a hover effect using this custom CSS:

    .nav ul li a:hover {
    color: rgba(177, 255, 0, 0.63);
    }
    .sub-menu li:hover {
    color: rgba(177, 255, 0, 0.63); /* Hover color menu item */
    }

    This doesn't work, what am I doing wrong?

    Thank you

    Hi! Divi has hover effect options on most items (the little cursor next to the desktop/tablet/mobile view) where you can change colors and styles for text and such. Have you tried that before using CSS?

    Hi Courtney, thanks for helping. I assume that you mean this little menu bottom right?

    But I don't see what you are referring to... or are you speaking od somewhere else? I expected to see it on the customiser panel under menu.

    I should say that there is a hover effect by default and it fades everything.... maybe an animation but I don't think so. And I can't see anywhere with the relevant styling.

    Ok I have now examined everything and I think I know where you mean.... on the menu component and looks like this:

    If this is it it is very limited as it only offered a contrast effect of light or dark. If there anything more that I can do?
    You will notice I am also working on French version which complicates things as the translations are not always accurate.

    So, I have something improved but note exactly what I want which is to apply a colour and not just choose opacity.

    I mean on the module under different things on the Design tab like this:

    This little icon allows you to toggle between regular and hover (the larger buttons below with the desktop icon and the cursor icon) to change how an item behaves normally vs hover.

    Yes, found it thanks. There is so much to take in and I hadn't really noticed it plus the tooltip was in French. And I now see that it toggles all the relevant settings to Hover or Not. So I have something almost there but mt text is still very pale and I can;t seem to fix that, But it may suddenly come to me.

    Thanks for the help!
