Solved Column Gutter no longer works.

When I make a row with two columns in it, instead of having a gutter as seen in picture one, it is missing as seen in picture 2 msedge_YrkrQnHkDf.png msedge_JTxAG0xpKH.png . It can be alleviated on desktop by using a custom gutter width and setting it to 2. However, when you switch to mobile the gutter is gone again.

If I import a page that has the gutter, all of its gutters are missing as well. Currently the only way to make web pages is to duplicate any page made before today, delete the contents and start building.

    Things I've tried:

    • Delete the css cache

    • reinstall divi

    • update divi

    • restore from a backup

    • safe mode

    • clearing caches
Nothing has worked. While duplicating an existing page does allow me to continue working, I don't believe it's a safe or reasonable solution.

Any idea what could be going on?

I looked into the row preset option, and adjusting the gutter at the preset level does absolutely nothing. The only thing I can think of is that the default preset is borked, but there doesn't seem to be a way to change that.

So I looked into the html a little bit. Pages with working gutters have et_pb_gutters3. Changing this value increases or decreases the gutter. However, new pages have et_pb_gutters1, changing this value does not change the gutter.

Update: So when switching themes and just suing the builder, the issue isn't present. Any ideas?

    Problem solved.

If anyone has the issue, it turns out that somehow, the default gutter width was changed in the theme itself. Something I have never touched, to my knowledge. But however it changed, it is unable to be over-written by settings in divi, or html edits. This seems like an oversight.

Also resetting the builder settings and / or uninstalling, does not reset these changes. While handy if you don't make a backup, it's a pita for trouble shooting.

I have the same problem. Gutters worked fine on the Divi theme, but I switched to Extra theme (to try it out) then I switched back again. Now the gutters don't work. No matter what gutter width I choose, e.g. 3, the class name that's applied to the column remains as et_pb_gutters1, instead of et_pb_gutters3. And the right hand margin is set to zero. This is a bug for sure.

For anyone that didn't find the fix for this problem:
The CSS file isn't put together correctly in PHP obviously, so the best solution what i found is to create a new site, and then click on clone layout. Cloning the site so to speak... Then a new CSS file is generated and the bug should disappear on the new site.
    Greetings
