Not possible to customize the hover of button when in the back office

Can you show screenshot on what you meant?

Also to troubleshoot the real cause of this issue, you might want to:

1. Create your own new Divi Library layout & see if you can edit it in Visual Builder.

2. If cannot, then update Divi & WordPress to the latest version. And see if it works.
**If it works, then it’s Divi & WordPress previous version bug.

3. Ask your host to upgrade php to 7+
**If it works, then it’s php version issue.

4. Switch back to original Divi theme & see if it works.
**If it works, then it’s our child theme issue.

5. If still not working, then try to disable all plugins & see if it works.
**If it works, then it’s some plugin conflict.

6. If all above didn’t work, then most likely it’s a hosting issue. And it’s best for you to refer to ElegantThemes support about it: https://www.elegantthemes.com/members-area/help/

As for the missing button hover option in backend builder, it’s already been reported to ElegantThemes & they should be fixing the issue soon.
