Featured Images Broken? V 5.6.2

Hi, it's been a hot minute since I've used DIVI and I'm hoping someone can help me with a quick sanity-check - is this a bug or user error? And if user error, what's the proper way to approach this?

I helped someone build a site - all posts & articles were showing their featured images as expected. The site owner just contacted me to say that all posts are now showing the same image. They have updated to DIVI 5.6.2

I could have sworn I set the featured image like this:

1. DIVI → Theme Builder → All Posts → Custom Body (edit)
2. Settings panel opens showing the Body's Content tab with a "Featured Image" section (see attached)
3. I thought I set the Featured Image to use Dynamic Content

However, now, instead of the Dynamic Content option, when I hover over the Featured Image section all I see is an AI button and a refresh icon.

As mentioned, I may be misremembering what I did. All I know is that whatever I did has been working, and has now broken

Edit: I am guessing I can just manually add an image module to the template, position it where I want it, link that dynamically, and that should work - but half the reason for this post is to check whether I should have to do this, or whether the existing "Featured Image" section should be allowing me to link to dynamic content. Given that a "Featured Image" section already exists, that would seem sensible.
