Solved Child Themes & Updates

For every updates, we will provide you instructions on how to update our child theme.

For most cases, you only need to update the CSS file from the WP admin panel & import new library files.
IMPORTANT: So for any custom CSS that you want to add, it's highly recommended that you put them in Divi -> Theme Options -> Custom CSS to avoid overwrite issue.

And in the coming v3.0, we will add new functionalities to Divi Ultimate. But fear not, all the new functionalities will be added to our new plugin. By doing that, you can stop worrying about our child theme update will overwrite your custom works. Cause you can know for sure that we will only edit the CSS file in our child theme and nothing else. All the extra coding will be done in our new plugin.

 

We will provide you instructions on how to update for every new updates. It may varies for each updates. For example, if you want to update from v1.01 to v2.0.0, here is the instruction: https://divi.help/threads/divi-ultimate-v2-0-0.275/#post-542

But all the updates are totally optional. Only update if you want to access new designs.

While for the CSS, you should use inspect elements in browser to find the css that you want to modify, then add it in Theme Options -> Custom CSS. If you don’t know about inspect elements, we highly recommend you to search for a free tutorial on that.

Anyway, if you still couldn’t figure out how to edit certain css for any part of our child theme, let us know & we will help you on that.
