I created a new page by cloning an existing page within Divi Builder. When I preview the page, it looks fine. (See first screenshot.)

However, when I publish the page, it’s missing the text and looks like it's using the wrong template/layout. (See second screenshot.)

Also, the published URL shows the suffix “-2” at the end. (?)

I have spent quite a bit of time troubleshooting this. Any feedback/solutions would be very much appreciated.

UPDATE: I just noticed that the WP editor is showing '-2' at the end of the URL. I have changed it back to the actual URL without the '-2' (multple times) but it keeps coming back. There is no other page Page using that URL so I am puzzled why WP or Divi won't update with it (without the -2 suffix.) Any help would be appreciated.

Never heard of such issue before. Try to create a new page & see if it works. In the new page, you can load the layout from the page you created previously (the one not working).

If still not working, you might want to refer official Divi support about it & see what they say: https://elegantthemes.com/members-area/help/

Solved: Sorry for the confusion. This problem had nothing to do with Divi. This was a WordPress issue. I've been using WP for almost ten years and never tripped over this problem. After hours of troubleshooting, I naturally suspected Divi since this was my first time using it.

Details: Before creating a profile page for a client, I uploaded their picture to WP and named the jpeg file with the client's name. I then created a page in WP using the client's name in the slug. Because the client's name was already used for the image file, WP would not use the same name in the URL/slug and automatically appended '-2' to the URL. Initially, I didn't notice that. So, when I previewed the page as a draft, it looked fine. When I published the page and tested by entering the correct (intended) URL in a browser, the page was essentially a blank template. (?!)

Once I noticed the incorrect URL, I changed it to the correct one but WP kept changing it back. After hours of troubleshooting/researching I found the solution here. Once I deleted the jpeg file and re-uploaded it using a different file name, WP allowed me to create my preferred URL/slug. Solved. (Again, sorry for the confusion and for erroneously pointing the finger at Divi; looks like a great product.)
