Best way to add Access Control?

I am using Divi and love it! I need some advice about the best way to implement access control on my site. I probably need a plugin any suggestions about the best approach would be useful. The basic requirements are described below.

    Access Control Requirements
    a. the general public, unsigned in, has access to the public pages
    b. special groups of Users that must sign in are:
    • club members
    • club committee

    Both Groups
    1. need the ability to sign in and out
    2. need to have a way to authenticate themselves, their login will be their email address. They will use forgot password to reset it - I think this will work as it goes to their address and then they link to reset.
    3. see all public pages
    4. have their own custom menus
    5. do not have access to WP Admin
    6. If someone is not signed in they should not be able to use a saved url and see a restricted page

    Club Members
    7. need one additional option on the menu to do the following...
    8. need the ability to upload images to a gdrive folder, and will then be processed by admin who may load on the site later

    Club Committee
    9. will have a custom menu with several items a custom menu and related pages that are restricted to this group

    The Menus

I think I have to have three separate groups of menu but they are in effect this:

    1. Public (unsigned in) - access to the Public Menu
    2. Club Members (signed in) - access to 1 plus the club members options
    3. Club Committee (signed in) - access to 1 & 2 plus the club committee options

If there is a cleverer way to do this so that I don't have three separate sets of Menus but can add menu based on access rules that would be good

    Thank you!

p.s. I have also posted on the ET forums, it isn't clear to me yet where to get the best response!

Your best bet is to look for any Wordpress membership plugin that does what you want. I believe those membership plugins will work just fine with Divi.

Thank you for your suggestion but I was looking for something a little more specific and based on people's experience.

I have now played with several plugins and found all of them wanting in some way - or very expensive, not that I think one shouldn't pay but for my small community site 200$ a year is prohibitive.

Just in case anyone else is interested: Simple WP membership is good, with very nice help and documentation that would suit any level of user; and free with some premium addons. and more or less does the trick. EXCEPT that I can't use the divi builder with it. I discovered that this is a known limitation. So I desctivate it, do my design work and reactivate it. Somewhat annoying but do-able.
