We're using the Ultimate Plugin/Child Theme here:

    https://nativebusinessmag.com

Please note under the 'LATEST' section we have the blog feed and the dates are completely random instead of appearing in any specific order. This gives the impression that a 'new' article might be old since it appears 5th or 6th (or later) in the display instead of first.

Is this normal? I don't see a setting for that (i.e. Randon vs. Chronological ).

The site owner brought it to my attention. Here's what she wrote since she describes in more precise detail what's happening:

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For instance, while the below story posted to the site yesterday evening, May 16:

Native Business Summit Inspired Attendees ‘to Conquer & Keep Conquering Our Dreams’

    https://www.nativebusinessmag.com/n...endees-to-conquer-keep-conquering-our-dreams/

…it appears in the sixth spot in the news river. It should appear second. (Please note that I did check, and the time stamp of the story was not adjusted by anyone — or doesn’t appear to have been adjusted by one of you.)

And the below story was posted to the site on Tuesday morning, May 14, and yet it appears third in the news river (well above the story posted yesterday evening…):

‘Your Network Is Your Net Worth’: The Native Business Summit Is Underway, Building Bridges Across Indian Country

    https://www.nativebusinessmag.com/y...erway-building-bridges-across-indian-country/

Those are just two examples to underscore the strange glitch. The glitch is not exclusive to those two stories. Please advise on what’s going on. I don’t think it’s anything I can modify on my end, I believe it’s a site-wide glitch. Let me know if that’s the case, or what I/we can do.

    -------------------------------------------------------------

    Please advise, thank you.

Try to go to the Blog module settings > Design > Layout & change it to Fullwidth.

Are we sure we're looking at the same thing? On the home page of that site, https://nativebusinessmag.com, scroll to the LATEST section and see the articles out of sequence date wise. Is this fix referring to that?

Yup. Try that & it should fix it.

    Genius. OK, thanks!

Makes perfect sense now that I see it. The 'grid' layout would cause them to be arranged in a sporadic way.
