Button Text Color Won't Save

Greetings, I have been trying for some time to figure out why the text color I have chosen for my buttons won't save. I set it to white, then publish. When I view the page, however, the text is red. Then, when I go back to the customizer again, it is red there also, even though the side bar says that it is white. To get it to go back to white, I have to click another color (any other color), then click white again, and it switches back to white, then I publish. I have watched the Elegant Themes video on how to edit the buttons, but I am stuck in this cycle. Is there a choice I have made somewhere else that is overriding my choices on the theme customizer? If not, does anyone have a suggestion as to what might be going on? I am certain that it is a user error, as I am new to Divi and Wordpress.

I think it has to do with the dark/light option for the button. I was able to fix it in the module costumier for the individual button. I am just not sure how to set it globally, so I don't have to change it every time I add a button.
