Solved Cannot edit Bottom Bar text

Hi everyone. First time poster, let me know if there's etiquette or more detail I'm missing.

I created a divi website years ago, created a child theme, and it's sat without touching it for years.

In the footer bottom bar on the website there is some text that I have input back then. When I go into the Theme Customizer, Footer, and Bottom Bar, I'm expecting the text to be there within "Edit Footer Credits", but it's not. I tried highlighting the "text" and pressing delete in case it wasn't appearing due to the light colour, but this suggests there's no text at all in this box. If rite new text in this area, or if i uncheck the "disable footer credits" box, the new text or "Designed by Elegant Themes...etc" appears in the footer Bottom Bar next to the text I have there.

I can't work out where to find this old text I have written so I can edit it.

Hi, I've checked the widgets, and there's no widget with this text.

My understanding is that the text for the bottom bar is accessed and edited from the "Edit footer Credits" section, which is different from the footer area that has widgets (I have some widgets in this footer widget area).

Any other ideas?
