Child theme of the Ultimate Child Theme

    Hello,

    If I need to modify the functions.php file of the Ultimate Child Theme, it will probably be overwritten on the next update.
    Do I need to create a child theme for the Ultimate Child Theme? This seems not to be a fairly standard procedure.

    Is there a solution so as not to lose the modifications to functions.php other than copying the code into it once the update has been carried out?

    You can just modify the ultimate child theme functions.php. It won’t get overwritten by updates.

    All the child theme updates are made through the assistant plugin: Divi Ultimate Plugin.
