Curious if updates for Divi Ultimate will ever be available from within the Wordpress dashboard.

Sorry to say that there's still no plan to do that yet for now.

Currently, we are using forum to manage all our products, so it's not possible to have automatic updates from Wordpress dashboard. Though by using forum, we get to integrate the purchases with the support forum. Easy for members to access our support, as they gain immediately access to our support forum after purchase without any further configuration. And thus allow us to continue providing great support. Plus, you can also easily search for past support tickets by other members for any questions that you have.

But the downside is we couldn't have the automatic updates from Wordpress dashboard. Though, for the updates, it's totally optional if Divi updates did not break your site. For most of the cases, Divi updates will not break our plugins & child theme. We created all our products using the safe coding way. For every updates in Divi 3.0, our products work just fine. It's just that for the major Divi 4.0 update, it changed the Divi menu module structure, which caused some conflicts with our regular menu module. Only if you're using our regular menu module, then only you need to update it.
