Divi Ultimate Page Load "Blink"

Not sure how to describe this. Just finished another site in Divi Ultimate and when I go to load a page it shows an unstylized blink and then loads the actual page. I am not sure if this is a Divi Ultimate thing, a Divi thing or something else. Hopefully there is a way to fix this.

I created a screencast so you could slow it down to see what I was saying.

Unfortunately I spoke too soon. This solution worked on all the Wordpress pages. However the WooCommerce pages are still blinking.

I hate the idea of a preloader plugin. Is there any other way that you know of?

Divi Static CSS File Generation doesn't seem to work on injected elements for custom post type pages. There's nothing we can do about that.

If you do not wish to use preloader, then the only workaround is to use Divi Theme Builder for your custom header. It seems to work with Static CSS File for custom post type pages.
**But do note that if you use your custom header style in Divi Theme Builder, you will need to create a new section for the mobile menu.

I appreciate your reply. Clearly this isn't really a Divi Ultimate issue per se. Unfortunately even with Static CSS File Generation, WP Rocket and a Preloader Plugin the WooCommerce pages are flashing (even before the preloader shows).

It looks fine to me. The reason it might still be flashing to you: The CSS of the preloader is loaded through a file. Might be done by your cache plugin.

To make the preloader CSS loaded inline, you may try:
    1. Go to edit your custom header in WP Admin > Divi > DU - Header
    2. Look for existing code module or add a new code module & add the below code:
    Code:
Log In or Sign Up to view this code.

Again I truly appreciate your help. By the time you saw it I had changed preloader plugins. The previous preloader plugin was still showing the blink, switching to the Smart Preloader fixed the issue.

If you don't mind a follow up question...the "preloader" works, but my client is constantly complaining about it.

You suggested the only workaround is to use Divi Theme Builder for your custom header. It seems to work with Static CSS File for custom post type pages.

Is there a link or explanation on how to do this?

    Here are the steps:
    1. Go to WP Admin > Divi > Theme Builder.
    2. Click "Add Global Header" > Add From Library > Your Saved Layouts > Your custom header style
    3. And lastly you will need to add a new section for your mobile menu (Fullwidth section + menu module). Then set it to show on mobile only in the Section Settings > Advanced > Visibility.

Again thanks for the answer. Unfortunately I am not sure if that will work. I actually removed the Divi Ultimate header and tested the Standard Header...the header loaded as normal but the WooCommerce pages "flashed" once the page loaded the first of the builder content.

And now..the site is "flashing" BEFORE the preloader loads....this is a nightmare haha.

Sorry to say that that's all the workaround / advice that we know of. Don't have any further advice on that.

I appreciate it. I do have one more issue, and figured I wouldn't start a new thread.

At Checkout...once order is submitted...the Header Breaks. Is this just another instance that suggests I need to switch over to the Theme Builder Custom header option?

Since you're using preloader, try to disable Static CSS File Cache & see if it works: WP Admin > Divi > Theme Options > Builder > Advanced > Static CSS File Generation > Disabled
