Extremely slow loading site

    Hello, we have a site built with the DIVI Ultimate theme and it's running extremely slow on first load It takes at least 40 seconds to load the site. I analysed the site and I it appears that it's the theme that is causing a lot of the delay:

    Our child theme is pretty lightweight. It shouldn't be slowing down your site. To confirm, kindly try to disable our Divi Ultimate Plugin. As for the Child Theme, you may ignore it, as it's just an empty child theme for you to customize it on. You may choose to disable it as well. Main thing is to disable our Divi Ultimate Plugin & see how your website goes.
    **Disabling & enabling our child theme and plugins will not affect the site data.

    **It doesn't point to any specific faulty components. It may be hosting, caching or plugins issue.

    You may want to first try to disable your plugins one by one & see if your site runs faster. If you can find the culprit, then it's great. If still runs slow after disabling all plugins, you might want to refer to your host & see if they can advice further on that.
