Solved Gallery Overlay Icons Displaying Under Images

I'm fairly new to Divi and have been doing a lot of tweaking to get image galleries working as I want. My site went live last week and unfortunately the gallery isn't displaying as it was in the Theme Customizer, which I was using as a way to preview. (Perhaps not the best way to check?)

I wanted the icon to overlay the image when the mouse rolls over.

    What I wanted:

And, when I click on the image/icon I want to bring up the lightbox with the ability to navigate between images, as so:

    What's actually happening:

I do have some CSS and code snippets to get the gallery looking the way I want, but when I turn all that off or delete it the icon still displays under the image. There isn't any additional code in the gallery block.

Does anyone know what I'm missing, or what I can try to fix this? It appears to be an issue across every grid gallery, but those that are slider galleries appear to be working. My site is ajaiken.com if you want to take a look.

    Thank you!

    Hi AJAiken,

It sort of looks like some of Divi's own styles aren't loading on the front-end. Try clearing the caches in any cache plugins you're using, and also trying Divi's Static CSS cache at:

Divi > Theme Options > Builder > Advanced > Clear Static CSS

If that doesn't help, also try disablng Divi's Dynamic CSS at:

Divi > Theme Options > General > Performance > Dynamic CSS

(and clear the caches again afterwards).

But if there's still no luck, are you able to share a link directly to the page with an affected gallery - I had a look round the site (awesome artwork, btw), but couldn't see those images or any broken galleries.

    Thank you!

Static CSS was off, but I tried turning it on and clearing the cache anyway. It didn't change anything, unsurprisingly.

Disabling Dynamic CSS seems to be what did it - all seems to be working well now.

    I've left both off.

I'm mainly using this gallery on my blog - sorry for not clarifying! Thanks again.
