How do I make the table columns even in a post?

    Hi all!

    We want to add a table to a post, but are having a hard time getting the columns to be even widths. Here's what's going on (Quality Contractors vs. Cheap Contractors):

    As I type in each cell, the column width keeps changing, until finally the column on the right wins the width game. Is there any place to adjust these table settings?

    In search of alternate tables, I tried using TablePress, but it just shows up as shortcode if I put it in a post. It shows up as a table if I put in in a page.

    Any thoughts on this? Many thanks for your help!

    You may try the below CSS in Divi > Theme Options > Custom CSS:
    Code:
    table td {
        width: 50%;
    }

    It worked! Thank you!

    Is there a way to show the borders of the cells? It seems like the 'default' option should show these, but they're not showing up. I changed it to 'stripes' just so it's easier to read, but I'd prefer solid lines.

    Try this CSS instead:
    Code:
    table td {

        width: 50%;
        border: 1px solid #222!important;
    }
