Link images in gallery module with text module

Hi,

I am trying to link the individual images in the gallery module (slider layout) to a text module, so that when the user click the "next"arrow to view the second image, the text also changes. Is there any code that helps me do this? See the picture. I want the text to change to "step 2" when I look at the next image.

OR

How can I add captions to the slider gallery module? *Not the slider module.
