Missing Divi Backend Builder + Wordpress 5.0

    Some people freaked out when Divi Backend Builder is missing after they updated Wordpress to version 5. By default, it seems like you can only access the Visual Builder.

    But in a few clicks, you can bring back the old Divi Backend Builder easily. See the steps below:

    First, update Divi to the latest version.

    Next, go to Divi > Theme Options > Builder > Advanced > Enable Classic Editor > Save Changes & you should now be able to access the old Divi backend builder. See screenshot below.

    If you wish to use the new Divi backend builder, then you need to Enable The Latest Divi Builder Experience as well.

    I can't update right now. My Divi is 3.0.69.
    There is no such option.

    Yup. You will need to update Divi to the latest version to access this feature. The previous version of Divi is not compatible with WP 5.0 Gutenberg.

    Hi.
    I have checked my plugins installed with Divi and I have Divi Commerce and Divi 100 Login Page updated and configured. ( Not Divi builder )
    But I can´t enable Classic Editor and it doesn´t appear the option. Same as Trieu Hoang.

    Also, in backend appears the following message: Failed to initialize plugin: et_quicktags

    What can i do to fix the problem?

    You should update Divi theme, not those other plugins.

    Of course I did all of what you mentioned. There's no option to update the Divi theme, I am running the latest version of Wordpress and cache is cleaned.

    The latest Divi version is 3.27.4. You can check your Divi version in WP Admin > Appearance > Themes

    And you can update it in WP Admin > Appearance > Themes or WP Admin > Dashboard > Updates

    It is really strange because I take the obvious paths before contacting support. There is no option to update, but when I click on the Divi theme, it says the version is 99.99 and Anonymous author. I had someone copy from another website where I used the Divi theme, and it seems he cloned it, creating a divi child theme on my current website. See screenshot.

    You should refer to the Divi parent theme version. Not the child theme.

    That doesn't help me, I can't start my website over. The child is cloned from the parent with customization. I did not migrate the website.

    Creating a child theme is quite common, so this is not an acceptable answer. What is strange is the version that is showing (13.0.46). Here is from my Divi parent theme style.css

    Theme Name: Divi

    As you can see below, even if you have child theme installed, there is still the parent Divi theme in the Appearance > Themes:

    Most likely you're on an older version of Divi. If you don't get to update it, you might want to re-install the parent Divi theme.

    Just activate any other theme & click Divi parent theme & delete it. Then, download the latest version from ElegantThemes & re-install it: https://www.elegantthemes.com/members-area/index.php
    **You will need to have active subscription with ElegantThemes to download Divi.

    Post content module is only accessible in Divi Theme Builder, as it's served to render the content of the page.
