    Hi,

    I've been trying to remove the indentation from blocks of text on a page, and can't get this to work.

    The CSS I've tried is:
    .et_pb_text_2 {
    padding-left: 0px !important;
    }

    However, this seems to get overridden by some CSS in the theme, which appears always to be parsed later than my own custom CSS so can't be overridden:
    .et_pb_text_2 {
    padding-left: 72px !important;
    }

    Does anyone have any suggestions? The site is https://ethicalreading.org.uk/

    TIA :)
    David.

    I hasten to add that I would prefer not to create a child theme or edit the theme files!

    Seems like you did it already.

    I managed to do it for one page only (the front page) using
    .et_pb_column .et_pb_text,
    .et_pb_column .et_pb_text_1,
    .et_pb_column .et_pb_text_2,
    .et_pb_column .et_pb_text_3,
    .et_pb_column .et_pb_text_4 {
    padding-left: 0px !important;
    }

    That required going through every block and finding a more specific class for each one to override the theme's built-in CSS. However, this doesn't work for other pages so it seems that I'd have to go through the same process for every block on every page. Is there a less laborious way to do this globally in the site?

    I admit that I'm approaching this from the perspective of being more familiar with themes that use the TinyMCE editor, so Divi and the way it works is new to me.

    The rest is not a padding issue. It's the max-width issue. Try the below:
    Code:
    .et_pb_text {
        max-width: 100%!important;
    }

    Many thanks - that worked :)
