Solved Search module not working

I have never used the Search module before. I have set it up with the defaults.
When I add an item of text which is on the front page and press Search nothing happens.
I get a line in the bar at the top of my screen (see below), but nothing appears on the website, just a blank screen, not even a "not found".

Is there some setting I have to make to the website to allow searching, or is there another problem.

The solution was to remove one of the plugins
