Target a link to a visible module

Hello.

I want to target a link to a module. So one or more links are placed left in a row and in the right row is a module visible or invisible depending of the link clicked on.
Every single link should make a (target) module visible and hide the other modules.

I saw examples where its done with a button and jquery and customized css classes but this does not work for me as I have to do it with a link.

Is it possible to target a link to a module and if it is, can someone tell if there's an online turorial/plugin to explain it or give an example here maybe?
