Solved YouTube-embedded videos not showing

    Hi all,

    I have a problem with YouTube embedded videos not showing on our page.
    We use the Video module in Divi Builder and use the YouTube-link.
    I have tried using variations of the YouTube embed link, but it simply doesn't load.

    I have attached screenshots to show what it looks like in editor mode and when it's LIVE.
    I have also attached a screenshot of the Divi module.

    Does anybody have experience with this and know what to do?

    Any help is much appreciated!

    PS. We use YouTube embedded and not native video because of the issue of load speed.

    Sorry, of course.
    Our URL is https://www.trendlog.dk/

    The problem occurs on all pages where videos are embedded using the same method as described above.
    Another example is: https://www.trendlog.dk/trendlog-collect/

    Thank you for any possible help you can offer to the issue

    I think your cookie acceptance plugin is blocking it. If I open the page in an incognito window and accept cookies, then the video shows. If I instead open the page in incognito, scroll down without accepting cookies (at which point the cookie confirmation popup disappears), then the video doesn't show and the HTML for the video module seems to suggest that it has been blocked.

    This would seem to be the intended functionality of the cookie blocker - to prevent loading elements such as YouTube videos that may set cookies, until cookies have been allowed. I'm not sure what options the cookie blocker will give you around making an exception for the videos, but note that if you allow the videos it may affect any privacy compliance requirements you have. One workaround would be to host the video locally, though as you mention this may have a speed impact.

    You're right! I just forced the same error - I don't know how I've missed that.
    We use Cookiebot (Cybot) as a Cookie plugin. I'm not 100% sure how to avoid the issue, but at least I've located the source now :)
