    Hello,

As the title says, when someone fills in and submits a message via our contact form, it isn't providing the contact's email address to us despite us having a mandatory Email field.

The messages gets through to us ok, just not their email address.

We need their email address to be included so that we can respond to their query.

    Please advise.
    Thank you in advance.

Even though it didn't show up in the email content, I believe when you click reply to the email, it's set to send to the customer email address.

But if you need the email to show up in the email content, then you may check out the message pattern option: https://intercom.help/elegantthemes/en/articles/2837733-how-to-use-the-contact-form-message-pattern

I and others have found this not to be true. When clicking reply, the new message sends to the form's recipient, not the form's sender. I understand that this behavior is not consistent. For some, it works as Divi.help described. For others, it does not.

I found this forum post, followed the solution described, and have had success:
    https://divi.help/threads/divi-contact-form-missing-email-field.1057/
"I was helping someone with this very issue, where the "email" field disappears on form submission, when "use default" is defined as the message template. Our fix: The field ID was "email", which seems to be protected -- changing it to "email_address" solved the issue for us."
